From humble beginnings About Chefs' journey

Aptly named for his personal odyssey, the path of success for Chef Ignazio Mulei, leaving his native Sicilian home of Palermo to establish in Denver, Colorado his Odyssey Italian Restaurant, is the story of realizing his American Dream. Arriving in New York at age 18 with his treasures of Sicilian family recipes, Mulei worked his way up through hard work and determination. At Broadway Pizza in New York, he learned the basics of food management and restaurant organization.

Holding to his dream of celebrating his culinary style, he left New York to establish his first restaurant, La Dolce Vita in Castle Pines, Colorado. He continued refining his craft of daily house-made fresh pastas at “Pasta’s” in Parker, Colorado.

In 2012 Chef Ignazio Mulei found his way home with his dream realized – the opening of Odyssey Italian Restaurant in Denver. Not only is his luscious cuisine savored for special events and destination dining at Odyssey, but Chef Ignazio Mulei is also sought after as a restaurant consultant, and is a leader in Colorado’s culinary community.
